Ingredients
For the Fritters
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2/3 cup 2% milk
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract, divided
- 2 medium Honeycrisp apples, peeled and chopped
- Cooking spray
For the Browned Butter Glaze
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 cup confectioners’ sugar
- 1 tablespoon 2% milk
Instructions
-
Preheat Air Fryer
Preheat your air fryer to 410°F (210°C). Line the basket with parchment paper (cut to fit) and spritz with cooking spray. -
Prepare the Batter
In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Add milk, eggs, lemon juice, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Stir until just moistened. Gently fold in the chopped apples. -
Air Fry the Fritters
Drop ¼ cup portions of the batter onto the prepared parchment, spacing them 2 inches apart. Spritz the tops with cooking spray. Air-fry at 410°F for 5-6 minutes until golden. Flip the fritters and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes. -
Make the Glaze
In a small saucepan over medium-high heat, melt the butter until it starts to brown and foam (about 5 minutes). Remove from heat and let cool slightly. Whisk in confectioners’ sugar, milk, and the remaining ½ teaspoon vanilla extract until smooth. -
Glaze and Serve
Drizzle the browned butter glaze over warm fritters before serving. Enjoy them fresh for the best taste and texture.
Notes

- Serving Tip: These fritters pair perfectly with a cup of coffee or warm cider.
- Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days. Reheat in the air fryer at 320°F for 2-3 minutes.
