- 500 g (1 lb) shrimp/prawns, shelled and deveined
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 4 garlic cloves, crushed
- 1 cup cream
- 1–2 tsp lemon juice
- Parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the Shrimp:
- Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels and place them in a bowl.
- Season generously with salt and pepper.
- Cook the Shrimp:
- Heat a large pan over high heat and melt 2 tablespoons of butter.
- Add the shrimp and cook until they turn opaque and start to brown, about 2–3 minutes.
- Remove the shrimp from the pan and set aside.
- Make the Sauce:
- In the same pan, melt an additional teaspoon of butter. Add the crushed garlic and Cajun seasoning, stirring until fragrant (about 1 minute).
- Pour in the cream and lemon juice, stirring to combine.
- Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes, or until the sauce has reduced and thickened enough to coat the back of a spoon.
- Combine and Serve:
- Return the shrimp to the pan and toss to coat in the sauce. Allow to heat through for 1–2 minutes.
- Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.

- Serve this dish over pasta, rice, or crusty bread to soak up the creamy sauce.
